Segundo a Defesa Civil, o município de Santa Inês é o único em estado de calamidade pública até o momento.
A orientação é que, em caso de chuvas intensas, a população mantenha distância segura de trechos afetados ou em que o solo esteja encharcado – que aumenta o risco de desmoronamentos e deslizamentos.
“Em casos de alagamentos, a população deve procurar um lugar seguro e acionar o serviço de emergência pelo 193”, informou o órgão.
Por meio de uma rede social, o governador do Maranhão, Carlos Brandão, disse que não há nenhuma cidade do estado coberta por águas e que as dificuldades deste ano estão abaixo de outras vivenciadas.
“Tranquilizamos a todos e garantimos que o nosso trabalho, em unidade com os municípios, continuará para que possíveis situações extremas sejam contornadas de forma célere”, afirmou.
